Completing the FAFSA application forms allows you to be considered for financial aid. In addition, states and colleges use FAFSA information to award their own grants, scholarships, and loans. If you do not submit you FAFSA by the required deadlines, you may miss out on funds that will help you pay for college.
Each college may have its own deadline. Be sure to check with the college you are attending or interested in attending. Also make sure to ask the definition of an application deadline. Is it the date your form is processed or the date the college receives your processed FAFSA data?
