Brian has been at the helm of Hare since 2005. In addition to leading our firm, he coaches and mentors our staff, manages our operations, and serves as a trusted advisor to our clients. Having started his accounting career in 1998, Brian has worked with some of his clients for decades. To him, there’s nothing better than seeing someone who has trusted his guidance succeed.
Brian’s personal goal is to have an impact; to make a difference in the lives of others. This is what drives him each day. He also simply loves his job. Most of all, Brian enjoys helping clients discern the most critical aspects of their tax, business, and risk management strategies, so they can prioritize—and accomplish—what needs to be done. Innovative and insightful, he strives to give his clients a range of solutions to consider.
Outside of his vocation, Brian’s passion is his family: his wife Kelly and their two daughters. Together, they love visiting national and state parks with their 38-foot camper in tow. The family’s goal is to spend 30 nights in their camper each year, and they’ve never missed it.
Driven to give back, Brian has served on the board of directors of the Library of Michigan Foundation since 2012, most recently as president. He’s also active in the Michigan Association of CPAs, having been a member of the membership committee and president’s advisory council, as well as Entrepreneurs’ Organization Detroit (EO Detroit).
