Starting to take effect on January 1, 2023 the minimum wage in Michigan:
- Will increase from $9.87 to the new rate of $10.10. This is a $0.23 increase from the current rate.
- The 85% rate for minors aged 16 and 17 will increase from $8.39 to $8.59 per hour. This is a $0.20 increase from the current rate.
- Tipped employees rates of pay will increase from $3.75 to $3.84 per hour. This is a $0.09 increase from the current rate.
- The training wage of $4.25 an hour for newly hired employees ages 16 to 19 for their first 90 days of employment remains unchanged.
