Business Owners FAQs
How could my business benefit from working with Hare CPAs?
Our goal is to empower business owners, controllers, and CFOs to live abundantly, and not only in the financial sense. That means we strive to free clients up to do what they are good at and what they love. By handling your business finances, our team takes the burden and stress off your plate. We provide the confidence you need to focus on running and growing your business, knowing that your financial affairs are in capable hands.
Does Hare CPAs have contacts to help in other areas of my business?
We help our clients with the full spectrum of business needs, and routinely collaborate with other CPAs, banks, attorneys, valuation firms, investment firms, staffing firms and operational experts.
What happens if my business is audited, can you help?
Being audited can be stressful, but we are here to help! A good overarching strategy is to stay calm and get organized. If it’s not already clear, it’s important to understand what the IRS is disputing. We’ll want to gather all relevant documentation, financial records, and supporting documents in an organized manner. Having completed that step, you’ll be able to respond to the auditor’s inquiries in the most effective manner. By taking a meticulous, proactive approach to tracking, documenting, and filing your company’s tax-related information, you’ll make an audit less painful and even decrease the chances you’ll be chosen in the first place.
Who We Are FAQs
Why does my business need a CPA?
All businesses can benefit from a CPA’s expertise in accounting, tax law, and financial regulations. CPAs are highly trained professionals with a deep understanding of complex financial matters and can provide valuable insights and advice to help you make informed decisions.
How do I find a good CPA?
The best way to find a good CPA is to ask your friends and associates for referrals. By finding someone who is familiar your industry, you are more likely to benefit from targeted advice they can provide based on their expertise. The business industry is currently grappling with a historic shortage of CPAs that is expected to last for a while, so when you find a CPA you like, hold on to them because they won’t be easy to replace.
Do you work with clients outside of Michigan?
Location isn’t the most important consideration when it comes to a potential client. Instead, we want to be sure we are a good fit for them, and they are a good fit us. We currently have out-of-state clients and, as with all potential clients, our policy is to accept additional out-of-state clients on a case-by-case basis.
What should I bring to my first meeting with Hare CPAs?
Just bring yourself! A typical introductory meeting with Hare CPAs is based on live data gathering. We’ll ask you questions about your business so we can determine if we are the right fit for each other. We want to hear what your needs are, and we will be honest on whether we can meet those needs. We do not take on any new clients if we cannot service you with the upmost satisfaction!
