Matt wears several hats at Hare. He’s a shareholder who focuses on both accounting and advisory services and the firm’s lead talent scout and training coordinator. Matt started his accounting career in 1997 and has worked in public accounting as well as for private companies.
As a “people person who enjoys accounting,” Matt returned to public accounting because it allows him to add value to his clients’ lives. He likes talking with business owners, getting to know them on a personal level, and then figuring out how to help them achieve their goals. By the same token, he’s passionate about supporting Hare staff as they develop their careers at the firm.
Matt’s expertise lies in outsourced accounting services, policy and procedure implementations, business restructurings, business process analysis and implementation, and bookkeeping services.
The father of three boys, Matt loves spending time with his family. In addition to coaching his sons in baseball, he is the treasurer and past president of the Anchor Bay Angels Baseball Club, a local nonprofit supporting youth boys and girls.
